Energy Saving Plan, CFL will be provided at Rs.15 only

As a part of Energy savings plan Delhi Government is going to adopt the Bureau of Energy Efficiency's Bachat Lamp Yojana to provide CFL bulbs at Rs.15 only. As per this plan Govt will select various areas of the discoms, there residents would be required to replace 60 watt and 100 watt incandescent lamps with CFLs at a minimal cost of Rs 15 per lamp.

As per the latest reports, as per the Bachat Lamp Yojana, BEE designated CFL suppliers , through the discoms, sell CFLs to households within a designated project area. Only 60 watt and 100 watt incandescent lamps will stand to be replaced by 11-15 watt and 20-25 watt CFLs respectively.
