Thebullishtrends: BSE Sensex closed today with a gain of 355.73 points at 16,371.29 points. Postive global cues from Europe and Asia fueld the sensex in to gains today. All the sectors in BSE Sensex closed with gains IT, Capital goods,Power and Energry stocks closed in green whereas Banking and Auto sector shares faced selling pressure due to economic worries including inflation rate. Small and Mid-cap stocks gained almost 4% today. As per the reports the marketwide rollover of derivative contracts stood at 79%, as compared to 84% in March'08 series from Feb'08. As per the market sources Mutual Funds have started buying to show better NAVs to its investors in the year end as per the stock exchanges dates Mutual Funds and Insurance Companies have bought shares worth of Rs.729.50 cr today.
