ACC plans Rs.3,600 cr expansion

Thebullishtrends: As per the latest reports the major cement company ACC plans Rs.3,600 expansion to fulfil the capacity to 32 million tonne (MT) fromt the present capacity of 22 MT per annum. As per the this plan ACC will invest Rs.1,400 cr in the expansion of its Chanda unit from one MT per annum to 4 MT per annum this will also includes to establish a captive power plant of 25 MW. As per the company plans all the investment would be done through internal accruals..The expansion of the new Wadi plant to four MT per annum from the current one MT per annum would account for an investment of around Rs 1,500 crore.The expansion of the company's Bargarh plant by 1.18 MT per annum would entail an investment of Rs 523 crore. The capacity to fulfuill the need of ACC's grinding units at Madukkarai and New Wadi would together require about Rs 110 crore.The company is also in the process of setting up a bulk cement terminal in Pune with a capacity of 700,000 tonne per annum. It would be later increased to one MT per annum. ACC is looking for acquisitions in overseas. Meanwhile ACC Share price closed on Friday at Rs.734.85.
