Global market rally pushed the BSE Sensex

Thebullishtrends: BSE Sensex today closed at 17,766.63 points with a gain of 817.49 points. The main reason for today's positive trend was US Sales data was more encouraged one for the month of Jan'08, which helped the US Stock markets fromt the recession worries. The market breadth was strong today. In BSE 2057 stocks were advanced 697 stocks were declined and 41 stocks were unchanged. European markets which were opened after the Indian markets traded in a firm note. Capital Goods. OIL and Gas stocks were gained.
