Thebullishtrends: Tata Motors has launched the people's car - 'Tata Nano.' The car will be available in several variants,the car would be manufactured at the Singur plant later this year. Tata Motors is targetting 5,00,000 small cars that will constitute just 2.5 percent of the total number of passenger vehicles in the country. So far Tata Motors have invested Rs.1500-1700 crores in this small car project.The Nano comes with 64 ccegine with 30bhp,and it comes with 30 liter-fuel tank, it gives mileage of 20 KM per liter the car is available as per international safety norms and the car meets the Bharat 3 (Euro4) emission standards. Nano comes with in two variants AC and Non ACThe standard Nano would be priced at Rs 1 lakh for dealers (excluding VAT). The commerical launch of NANO will be in second quarter of next financial year. Meanwhile TATA Motors shares are trading at Rs.783(+1.63%) share price rose by Rs.12,55 after this announcement.
